Our founders are a couple of like-minded artisans who are passionate about beer, obsessive about the craft of brewing, and have a love for sharing their commitment to the craft with the community. We are excited to join Utah’s innovative craft beer lineup as a small brewery who’s focus will be to provide boldly crafted and distinctively modern, American-style ales in Utah.
We are currently underway, building out a small, immersive brewery and tasting room. The tasting room will be a cozy "3rd space" designed to promote togetherness and simplicity. We will have a small retail area that will offer some swag and once we get our canning line, some high-point beers to-go. Our space will be as open as possible, as a way to safely share the brewing experience with you as you enjoy a pint or just want to come in and chat.
We craft modern American ales brewed with an uncompromising approach to quality, flavor, and drinkability. The beers you will find at our brewery are ales that have been developed and refined here in the US, and push the boundaries of current style guidelines. We focus on domestic ingredients supplied by fellow craftspeople and use the terroir of those ingredients to direct us.
Playground is a hop forward ale that will adapt & change season to season. As it is our platform to experiment with new hop crops, innovations and techniques. As always, please share your feedback. Currently, this beer utilizes HBC 586, a touch of Calypso and a very aggressive use of the Cyro Pop blend from YCH. This combination will offer an aroma of fresh crushed lemongrass, mangos and lychee that will transform to a flavor of ripe pear, golden cherries and carrots as you drink.
An ode to our favorite cultural documentary, Ideocracy. Brawndo, it's what “beer drinkers” crave. A clean, simple beer, that is crisp and refreshing when you just want to crush a pint or two. Brewed using one of our favorite Vienna style malts, grown by our neighbors up in Wyoming, for a malt backbone that has a hint of honey drizzled crusty toast. To complement that malt, Hopsteiner’s experimental hop 17701 lends a pleasant hop profile that smells of yuzu fruit and ripe apricots.
Also called Black IPA, Cascadian Dark Ale (CDA) is a style popularized in the 2000s that combines the complexity of roasted malts & crisp hop bitterness. The challenge is to make a dark beer that is highly complex yet very drinkable and refreshing. Not a Stout, not an IPA, a style of its own. War Pig offers memories of honeycomb cereal, dark chocolate & rye toast. Balanced out with clean NW hop bitterness and a heavy handed dose of dry hops to provide punch of dank cannabis like aroma.
Fruited kettle sours may be a hotly contested beer-like beer, especially if the brewer dares to add lactose sugar to make them even more drinkable *gasp* but hey, they’re fucking yummy. We like yummy things. Sploosh is a seasonally changing fruited kettle sour, that yes, often will have lactose in it. We think of this beer as a bit of an open door to try weird and wacky ingredients. The current Sploosh is a vanilla & blackberry lactose sour that was brewed with Boshoff cookies and lemongrass.
